Mrs. Sue Simmons received a BS in Biology with a concentration in Marine Science from Coastal Carolina University, and an MEd in Science Education from the University of South Carolina.
Her experience includes: three years teaching math and science at St. Andrews Catholic School in Myrtle Beach, three years teaching in-house patients at Coastal Carolina Psychiatric Hospital in Conway, four years teaching science at Airport High School in Columbia SC, where she started the marine science program, and twenty-one years teaching science at the Cedar Creek School in Ruston, LA, where she was appointed science department head and coordinator of the middle school.
At the Georgetown School Mrs. Simmons teaches Earth Science and 5th grade science.
She currently lives in Pawleys Island with her husband Dr. Rick Simmons and their golden doodle, Bailey.
