Mrs. Jane Dias earned her BA in Spanish from Francis Marion College then went on to get her Master’s of Education with emphasis in teaching Spanish at the Univerisity of South Carolina. After that, she taught for 30 years in the public schools of Florence County before moving to Pawleys. Nowadays, when she is not teaching at The Georgetown School, you might find her taking care of her extended family and also helping her husband with his contracting business.

Mrs. Dias has many outside interests including vocal music (she sings in her church choir and for the Indigo Singers). She loves Brookgreen Gardens, doing New York Times crossword puzzles, and good live theater. Knitting is also one of her favorite things to do.
