A note from Dr Simmons: When it comes to books, my experience has been that students who have and use physical copies of books will do better in my classes than students who try to read on their phones or tablets – devices simply provide too many distractions. The texts below are mandatory for each of these classes, but all are older and used copies of every one of these is available for less than $10 on Amazon (and other places I’m sure). Don’t wait though – many colleges use some of these texts too (especially the English books) so they’ll start going soon.

Growing with Grammar Level 8 Student Manual, Workbook, and Answer Key ($33.99 at JackKrisPublishing.com—this is a write-in text—you will need a new copy—even if you are able to find a used STUDENT MANUAL, you will still need to buy a new workbook). You don’t actually have to have an answer key, but the bundle is cheaper than the manual and workbook separately. Please turn the answer key in to the teacher.
